    The largest and most populous continent, covering roughly one-third of the land surface on Earth.  It's the home of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest in the Himalayas.  Some destination highlights include China (the Great Wall; Xi'an - site of the Terra Cotta Army of Qin Shi Huang, China's 1st Emperor; and Beijing, the Forbidden City); Mt.   • AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND

    Australia is the smallest continent, and the largest country in Oceania.  It includes the island of Tasmania, and has 1,300 miles of coastline with pristine golden beaches and waterways.  There is also a snowy region to the south.  Highlights include the famed Sydney Opera House; the Outback, which makes up nearly two-thirds of the continent; and the Great Barrier Reef, a natural coral reef stretching more than 1,250 miles from Brisbane to the island of New Guinea.

    New Zealand lies 1,250 miles to the east of Australia, and is an independent country consisting of two main islands.  The North Island has rolling pasture land and hills that are forest-clad.  Major cities include Auckland and Wellington, the capital city.  The South Island is colder, and more mountainous.  It is famous for the southern Alps, where adventure seekers can ski down Mt. Cook, the highest point, after being dropped of by helicopter at the peaks.

  • CARIBBEAN

    A group of tropical islands in the Caribbean Sea.  They are group into Greater Antilles, Lesser Antilles, Leeward Antilles, and Windward Antilles.  Resort style vacation destinations, known for their turquoise waters that are vividly clear.  Great weather year round.  Some popular destinations include the Cayman Islands, Aruba, Curacao, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos Islands, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, and Jamaica.

  • CENTRAL AMERICA

    A region in the southern tip of North America, Central America is an isthmus that connects North and South America.  It has 7 countries (Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama).  The climate is tropical with rainforests and evergreen forests, ideal for adventure travel including jungle adventures, hidden waterfalls, and volcano hiking.  Snorkeling with giant sea turtles in Belize, or relaxing on white sand beaches are exotic destinations.  Central America is home to the Panama Canal, a locked waterway connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean.

    The 3rd largest continent that extends more than 5,000 miles and covers approximately 9,355,000 square miles.  Canada, the USA, Mexico, and the Caribbean states make up North America.

    Canada is an area of 9.98 million square miles consisting of 10 provinces and 3 territories.  Some popular destinations include Vancouver; Victoria; Banff, nestled in the Canadian Rockies; Toronto; Montreal; Quebec City; Prince Edward Island; and the Niagara Falls.

    USA is a country consisting of 50 states.  Physical characteristics of the environment are diverse - including arctic, subtropical, rainforest, mountainous, arid desert, and flat prairie.     Melanesia is south of Micronesia and west of Polynesia, and includes the islands of Fiji; Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.

    Micronesia is a region of thousands of small islands, including Guam; Palau; and Yap.
